Some people will say the show was nothing new, that it was nothing revolutionary or that it was too long. However, thursdays for the last 10 years have been quite a ride and yes, I will miss the show. We can all move on along with Joey, Phoebe & Mike, Chandler, Monica, Jack & Erica, Ross, Rachel & Emma.
So, no one told you life was gonna be this way.
Your Job’s a joke, you’re broke, your love life’s D.O.A.
It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear.
And it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year.
But -
I’ll be there for you … when the rain starts to fall.
I’ll be there for you … like I’ve been there before.
I’ll be there for you … cause you’re there for me, too.
You’re still in bed at ten and work began at eight.
You’ve burned your breakfast, so far everything is great.
Your mother warned you there’d be days like these.
But she didn’t tell you when the world has brought you down to your knees.
That -
I’ll be there for you … when the rain starts to fall.
I’ll be there for you … like I’ve been there before.
I’ll be there for you … cause you’re there for me, too.

In a simple one-page application, such as an online bulletin board, you don’t need to be overly concerned about the design of this piece of code; all logic can be lumped together in a single program.
During my lunch break today, "Science Friday" was covering a recent study which discussed the effect that watching tv would have on 1 and 3 year olds once they turned 7. Specifically they were looking into the relationship of hours spent infront of the tv to the risk associated with attention problems.
Early television exposure in children ages 1-3 is associated with attention problems at age 7, according to a study from Childrens Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle. The study, published in the April issue of PEDIATRICS revealed that each hour of television watched per day at ages 1-3 increases the risk of attention problems, such as ADHD, at age 7 by almost 10%. These results control for other attributes of the home environment including cognitive stimulation and emotional support.
However, what I was really thinking during the show, was the amount of tv that I watched when I was younger compared to what kids watch today. I relly cannot say that I have a reference point for "today’s" kids but the mere excistence of VCR’s and DVD’s on today’s SUV has to be a pretty good sign that things have changed. Now, I just hope they don’t come up with a similar study for 20-something year olds, otherwise I will be in trouble.
Since I spend most of my day infront of a computer with an Internet connection, I tend to listed to music online. This gives me access to some tunes that I would’ve never come across on my own.
Today, I came across Webjay.org which is basically a site that “collects” references to songs that people post online on their own personal sites. The beauty of this site, is that you get a nice play-list that you can automatically play from your computer.
I can see this can come in rather handy when you want a change on your music fix and are feeling a bit brave to go beyond your musical bubble. Check it out next time you are online and with some time to kill.
