I received the following email today from my domain registrar Dotster.
Thanks to our great relationship with the .info registry, we were able to secure the .info version of many of your .com domains absolutely free.
We’ve added these domain names to your current Dotster account for you to manage in any way you see fit. Rest assured, these names are NOT set to auto-renew. They are yours to use for an entire year with no catch.
I have to enable the domain and point it to this site but what a nice treat it is. However, at the current prices for domain names, it feels more like a marketing campaign than a sign of good nature.
Paul Allen’s name has been at the forefront of technology for quite some time, most recently with the X-Prize winning Space Ship One from Scale Composites but his list of successful investments expand into many other technology fields.
I recently discovered Allen’s blog and I was surprised to find an entry with regards to his free mentoring services for new entrepreneurs seeking his advice. However, due to an increase in interest, he has raised the bar with regards to what it takes to be able to get in touch with him.
Interested in seeing what Mr. Allen has to say about your business or your new concept? Make sure you can meet his requirements before expecting a phone call.
While doing some cooking this past weekend, I had a brilliant idea for the name to an italian restaurant or even a nice pizza joint. I would like to introduce to you “Pepe & Roni” — now, if I could only register the business name without the actual business that would be awesome.
Maybe sometime in the future, we’ll be coming to a corner near you!
