NPR still good for a laugh

Lately I’ve switched away from NPR for the morning commute in favor of listening to my ipod. However, once in a while I catch a few minutes of public radio as I make my way to the highway. Today I was lucky enough to catch this gem and reminded me that NPR is still good for a laugh once a while. I wonder if Jane Goodall would be willing to join as a consultant?

For moms who are too grossed out or busy to pick nits, there’s a new option. Franchises of professional nit-picking salons are popping up around the country.

Wedding photos are ready

Rhonda has some photos from the wedding available through her website’s (smalldarkspaces.com) online order feature. You can browse through the collection and order as many prints as you would like of your favorite photos.

We received an email from Rhonda letting us know that some photos are online and available on her her website. To access the photos you can go to smalldarkspaces.com and click on online ordering where a list of events, including ours, will be displayed.

Click on the Sarah & Octavio link and enter the password (if you are not sure on the password, let us know). You can view the photos either in thumbnail or full size and add them to your shopping cart. You will be able to select sizes and other options when you choose to add a photo to the cart.

Update: received another email from Rhonda today (Nov 30th) and she has added more photos to both her online order website and her Flickr account.

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving Day in the company of family and friends. We have a lot to be thankful for this year and although we will not be able to be with family on this day, we’ll be spending the evening with some great friends.

Unlike last year and the year before I did not buy a charity turkey this year. Sarah sent me an email a few days ago but it escaped my memory. However, I am glad that Sarah picked up where I left off since she provided the Heredia-Schott family Thanksgiving contribution to feed the ones in need.

Sunday soccer update II

Last week I wrote about our playoff game victory and I promised an update after Sunday’s semifinal game. We were down 1-0 but only for a few minutes and the game went back and forth with both teams close to scoring their second goal.

We ended up winning the game with a last minute goal and earned our spot in the final. Unfortunately I am going to miss the game since we’ll be out of town but I am sure I won’t be missed!
