13May05 Suns – Mavs game two
Thanks to Sarah and her very generous office, we had four tickets for the Suns-Mavs game two of the NBA playoffs. We were joined by Melanie who happen to arrive from Texas just hours before tip-off and by Jennifer who has become a good friend of ours. The Suns lost the game thanks to a shot from Dirk Nowitzki with 6.8 seconds left in the game. Quentin Richardson had a chance to win it with a 3-point attempt but the shot fell short and the series is tied 1-1.

We took some photos from the game and I have posted them on my Flickr account as a little experiment. I have been recommending Flickr to people who don’t have a place to host their digital images. I think it provides a great service if you don’t want to get involved with finding a host and setting up your own site. I also think that Flickr is a much better alternative to those other photo-hosting websites, which require you create an account just to view photos from friends.
The reason why I am not fully sold on Flickr is because I have a great host in phpwebhosting where I have the necessary bandwidth and storage space to host the images myself. This gives me a little more control over the images themselves and since I am already paying for the hosting, I might as well keep things in one place.
If you have any thoughts on why I should use Flickr instead of this site to host my photos, I would love to hear from you.
