U2 Vertigo 2005 Tour

Last friday night (4/15) we were able to go see U2′s Vertigo 2005 Tour at the Glendale Arena. The show was simply wow. I always wanted to see U2 live, not only for their songs but for the quality of the show they put together. This one was not a disappointment, I feel they don’t give you a concert, instead you get an experience that is hard to describe.

I guess other big-time bands can also offer the high caliber of concert but there was something about U2 that truly makes it an experience. For some it may be the social message behind their music or the use of visual technology throughout the stage, for me it was all of it. I was truly a great show and should they come anywhere near your town, I would highly recommend it.

I have posted a few photos that I was able to take and while not the best images you have ever seen, I hope you can get an idea of the energy in the place.

  1. I am do jealous you got to see U2. I was hoping to get tickets to see the show in Dallas, but didn’t want to spend $100 or so per ticket, but didn’t want to pay for the General Admission either (since you never know where you’ll get to sit).

I’m glad you had a good time, and I’m sure they put on a heck-of-a show!

  2. I understand the desire not to spend $100 per ticket, we lucked out and were able to get the more affordable tickets when they were made available to the general public. I heard the two concerts they had here in Phoenix were sold out in 2 hours, not sure about the exact time but they went by fast.

Certainly worth waking up early on a saturday morning next time they are in a city close to you ;o)
