I have been trying to find new music for my iPod in an effort to use it a little bit more. I find myself online quite a bit during the day so I usually listen to streams over the pc. One site that I usually check for new music is WebJay, since users provide playlists with a very wide variety.

I was looking for a way to take some of those playlists in WebJay and easily make them available to my iTunes and thus my iPod. In comes Doppler to the rescue. According to their website, Doppler will download those enclosures and optionally add them to your preferred media player – exactly what I was looking for. What are enclosures? Instead of trying to explain it here, I would point you to this article for more information.

After spending a few minutes setting it up and making sure I had enough space on my hard-drive, Doppler was downloading Chilling Night Breeze and a few minutes later, the iPod was updated with the new tunes. I think I might have found a reason to use my iPod a little bit more now.
