We spent this past weekend working on the new house. Slowly but surely, it has changed from being a house into becoming our home, at the same time, the number of cardboard boxes in our living room has dramatically gone down. Tonight, I have to replace the living room ceiling fan and re-install it in the second bedroom and put up some decorative shelves in the dinning room. With these things done, we’ll be ready to play hosts for friends that are coming to spend the weekend with us! That should be a lot of fun.

Also, I have to setup our DSL service tonight. I was able to install it since friday evening but it never made it high enough in the priority list so it has to wait until tonight (after the fan move and shelf installation, of course). I also had to build a smaller desk so we could setup the computer and related stuff in a better location within the second bedroom. I looked and looked for something that was already built but given the fact that I did not want to spend over $130 for something that I did not "love", I decided to build my own.

A couple of trips to Home Depot and a few hours later, we had a smaller desk to house the computer, printer and the networking stuff. I will have to stain and finish it later since I ran out of time this weekend. I will post some pictures (that I have promised to everyone for a few days now) in the next few days, once we are able to just sit down and strech our legs without hitting an obstacle of some kind.
