Mirage Crossings #1001

Our own place

I had mentioned something about it before but a lot of the details were being worked out at the time. Now we can talk openly about it. Sarah and I had been talking about someday owning our own home. We would talk about it but we always seemed to table the discussion for another time.

Then one day we talked about it again but this time around we decided to do something about it. We realized that both of us were very uninformed about the home buying process and decided to talk to someone about it. It just so happens that Sarah works with Jennifer who happens to be a real state agent with Coldwell Bankers and the she was more than willing to help us out answering any questions we had.

To make a long story short, after Jennifer answered some of our questions we decided to keep moving forward and find out about mortgages, current lender options and interest rates. We quickly found out how quickly the real state world moves and how quickly things can change. We looked at the cards on the table and decided it was something that we wanted to do and that we were ready to commit to.

We looked at several properties and found one that we just loved. We wrote up our offer and the process went nowhere thanks to the seller and her agent. We were fortunate to find another property in the same complex and we realized how much better this new condo was. We had been so excited about the first offer, just to see it fall apart, that this time we decided to hold our enthusiasm until the contract was accepted and signed. 2 days after we faxed our offer, we had the seller’s agreement and we had a condo to buy!

I took some photos during our inspection, keep in mind that it still has the furniture from the previous owners but you get an idea about what the place looks like. Both Sarah and I are so excited to have our own place and make it our home. As always, no invitations are needed to come visit, just give us a little notice so we can have the drinks ready.

I just added an image wich shows the floorplan. It is a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom and about 1300 square feet. Close to where we both live right now so we don’t have to get used to a different neighborhood.
