Today was a great day, very representative of the spirits that come with the holiday season. I arrived at the office to find a letter from the dean of the college where I work. The letter informed me that I had earned a “merit” raise that will take palce January 1st. Never mind the fact that others in the department also received a raise but what a day to start the day…

We also had our Christmas luncheon today at the office and although we are a very small group, we can have a rocking time when it comes to getting together for office luncheons. We had a small gift exchange and got one of these. I guess now we have something to bring in the new year with.

And to close the deal, I finished my Christmas shopping with days to spare!!! A good combination of online and mall shopping made this year a very pleasant shopping experience. Now, when the credit card bills come hope, the entries in this blog might be a little more gray than these ones.
