Given the fact that Sarah will be in Texas during Thanksgiving, I was going to be bound to watch the Cowboys (or whomever is playing that day) by myself with a turkey tv dinner by my side. Thanks to a couple of close friends here in town, this will not be case and I will spend the holiday among friends and family (even though it is their family).

A few days ago I saw a commercial for buyabird.org and I knew it was something that I needed to be part of.

I know that it is almost closer to a new weekend, which would make this post a bit late, but what else is new. Must be that mexican-culture gene that Sarah loves so much and the same one that makes me late (only a few minutes) once in a while.

In any case, my parents arrived last Saturday afternoon and they would’ve been home earlier if they had followed my directions to the apartment. Instead they decided to cross the entire width of the Phoenix metropolitan area through a surface street vs. taking the highway that would’ve made their adventure a 20 minute ride and not an hour tour. I guess they are on vacation and have every right to see as much of the city as possible!!!

I spent most of last night cleaning up my apartment since my parents are coming to visit us this coming weekend and staying for a few days. The are escaping the cold town of Elko, Nevada for a few days, making a couple of stops in Las Vegas.

They left Elko today and were going to spend the night in Las Vegas. Their decision to leave today was solely based on the fact that the weather channel was forecasting rain and snow for saturday and sunday. They will come into town tomorrow morning and will stay in Phoenix for a few days before going back to LV to meetup with some family friends.
