7Oct03 Exams?
What are they? I had a midterm exam today for the java class that I am taking and all I have to say is that I forgot how to prepare for an actual exam. During my chemistry adventure, I think the subject intimated me into studying and staying up for late night review sessions before exams. In some cases, it helped in others it made for some fun memories.
In any case, I think I felt too good about the subject matter and I certainly did not put enough time to prepare for this exam. I have learned the lesson so I guess that is what it is important here.
My projects are going very well, mostly because we are allowed to seek help and look up the documentation — which resembles almost any professional environment where you do software development. I don’t think I know of a company that will give you pop quizes once in a while ;o)
The point has been made and I will not let myself think that I know more than I actually do again. So for now, back to the books for a bit.

Hey Okie,
As an old friend of ours used to say,”Tough at the top, tough at the top son”.Try being on the other side and giving the exams, but then have to grade them afterwards. Now that is even worse, trust me!

Oh Look! The student and the Coach!. Sounds like a good movie theme………..
Try being a workaholic no such joys as writing or grading exams – just the same old slog each day!
