14Sep03 Peanut Butter but no Jelly
Over the weekend I finally got some filters that I had ordered for my camera. As you can see in the photo section, I have not posted anything recent since I am waiting to get these filters that I bought for my coolpix camera. I searched several stores in town looking for what I wanted but they were either a bit too pricey or they did not have what I wanted.
I finally went online and found what I wanted. I bought 3 filters (mostly because they were on sale if you bought 3 at a time) and since it is a digital camera, I also had to buy an adapter for the filters to work. Like I said above, I would’ve been really excited about this, had it not been for the fact that I have to wait several extra weeks to receive the adapter.
I got 2 of the 3 filters this weekend but I cannot use them since the infamous adapter is not here and it is not expected to be here for at least another couple of weeks. I could understand the long wait, since my camera model has been placed in the “discontinued” list over at Nikon but I happen to find out that the same adapter that I ordered is used by one of their current models!!!!!
Now, why would I have to wait 4 weeks to receive this part, when one would think they were to be ready to meet the market? It is not like we are in a small city either and by going online, a customer is supposed to have access to a “global” inventory and thus things would be able to “move” a little bit easier? I guess I should just wait for the post man since talking about it does not really bring the rest of the order any faster.
